Data Access Studio™ - Analysis of Value

Overview

Data Access Studio™ is a feature-rich data-browsing and report-writing tool.  Using this software, a user with no programming experience can produce a wide array of Columnar and Cross-Tabular reports.  The user sees the report data as the user formats the report.  This approach is significantly easier than the Enterprise Report Writer (ERW) model.  Consider the following comparison:

Data Access Studio™ report writing model:

Design ► Run ► Save

Enterprise Report Writer model:

Create UBE ► Design ► Code ► Debug ► Checkin ► Define, Build, Deploy Package ► Run ► Repeat

Data Access Studio™ is not a replacement for Enterprise Report Writer (ERW and UBE).  ERW provides many features that are valuable to an Enterprise such as: programming support, batch processing, and server-side processing.  Data Access Studio™ supplements ERW’s functionality by providing an easier method to produce ad-hoc reports as shown above.

Data Access Studio™ lowers your cost

Consider how much time and money you spend writing reports with your current system:

  • How long does it take to train each of your users?

  • How long does it take to get from concept to report?

  • What are the losses to your operation that result from these costs?

Part of the quality offering of Data Access Studio™ is that it reduces your reporting creation costs:

By providing a simpler reporting solution for most of your needs, Data Access Studio™ lets you spend more time on your business and less time on the reporting tool.
