Setting up Data Access Studio to run on DEMO Jr.
Prerequisites
- OneWorld Demo Jr. must be installed on the workstation or laptop.
Step 1 - Download files
- If this is the first time you are installing DAS to your laptop, download the full version of Data Access
Studio (DAS.exe). If you are updating an existing version, download
DASUpdate.exe instead.
- Copy the above executable to a temporary folder on your laptop.
Step 2 - Install DAS
- In the temporary folder you created, run DAS.exe (or DASUpdate if this is
an update). When prompted by the self-extracting setup dialog,
select "Setup".
- If you do not have the .NET framework on your workstation, the setup
program will launch the .NET installer. When prompted to do so, install
the .NET framework to your workstation. This installation takes about 5
minutes. You only need to install the .NET Framework once.
- If the installer exits and you are not prompted to install the .NET
framework you may need to install the .NET Framework 1.1 manually: "http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/netdevframework.asp"
- Once the .NET pre-requisite is installed, setup presents the installer
welcome screen:

- Pick the default location that the Installer provides. Select the Everyone or Just me radio button as you see fit. Click
"Next".

- Click "Next" to begin the installation.

- Once the installation is complete, press "Close".
Step 3 - Request License
The install program creates a shortcut to DAS on your desktop. For this
step, make sure that you are connected to the Internet - the license request
system sends an email to ReportsNow.
- Double-click the DAS shortcut.
- Sign into DEMO jr.
- DAS will present an license screen. Click "Request License"
- On the request license form fill out all fields. In the "Order
Number" field, type "demo".
- Press "Submit" to send the request. (You may have to retry this step
depending upon your connection)
- Cancel out of Data Access Studio.
Dominion will generate a Demo Jr. license and send it back to the email you
entered on the license request form.
Step 4 - Run DAS
- If you are running EnterpriseOne 8.11 on Demo, Run LoadEOne.exe first
before running DAS.
- When you receive your license (.dasl file), run DAS
- At the license screen, click "Import License".
- Select the .dasl file that you received.
- After the import, DAS will run on DEMO Jr.
Staying current
- To keep up with new versions of DAS, simply download the latest DASUpdate.exe
and perform step 2 above.
